Find your textbook Skills for Life. Read the passage titled "Mental Development" on pages 171-173. Be sure to review the examples of mental development in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

With your partner, identify two activities that are age appropriate for the mental development stages in each of the three age ranges: infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. For example, since toddlers can recognize shapes and colors, a matching game, where the child fits shaped blocks into the correct space, would be an age appropriate activity,

You are babysitting two 8 year old neighbors, and they begin saying negative and mean things about another friend who is not present. What should you do?
